Dinosaur parties are a classic on the list of kid’s party themes this year. This can fill a lot of parents with the dread of having to throw a professional birthday party that is bound to be expensive.

 Well, don’t worry we’ve done all the hard work for you and have gathered everything you need to throw a Roarsome birthday party they’ll never forget without having to break the bank.  First up, let’s start simple with the venue.

 1. Organising a Venue / Location

Organising a location for the party can be the stressful part, especially when you’re conscious of budget. You might want to consider throwing the party at home if you’re keeping it cost effective, however, we appreciate this is not always possible. If you’re limited on space then consider hosting the party in a village hall or small party venue nearby. Don’t feel bad if you can’t save money by having the party at home, at least you’ll save time and know you can come back afterwards to a neat and tidy home. We’ve got plenty of tips that’ll save you money elsewhere so keep reading! If you’re lucky enough for a summer party then why not set up a little area in the garden or in your local park? Lay out a few picnic blankets, hang up some bunting with a few fun activities for the kids and they’ll be entertained for hours! Plus – hosting your party outside will just add to your ‘Dinosaur Jurassic Park’ theme even more.

 2. Dinosaur Decorations

For young children, think snacks and finger foods such as fruit salads, sausage rolls, bite-sized cheeses, breadsticks, or small veg sticks. If you choose to serve food for the adults too, you could delegate and ask your guests to kindly bring a dish with them to help out or you could purchase a variety of ‘buffet style’ foods with a i.e. quiches, salads, sandwiches or pizza (our budget tip – why not purchase a variety of frozen pizza’s at around as little as £2 each from your local supermarket, cook them beforehand and serve them for your guests to pick a few slices along with a salad, easy and cost effective!). Just remember to get some extra disposable paper plates and paper napkins if you do decide to serve more food – it’ll cut your time spent in the kitchen down by half and means less washing up -win-win!

5. Extra’s & Party Favours
