Galentine's Day is observed across the globe on 13th February. It is the opportunity to celebrate your friends and the bond between women. The day is to serve as a reminder for women to support and uplift each other. While still a fairly new concept, the idea of Galentines came from the writers at ‘Parks & Recreation’. The main protagonist of the sitcom, Leslie Knope, ‘invented’ the day to celebrate and empower her closest friends in an episode in 2010.
If we haven’t mentioned it enough already, the unofficial holiday is the perfect way to celebrate your closest pals and remind them of how much they mean to you. As an office of a female majority, we’ll be using the day to celebrate our wonderful colleagues and remind them to support and uplift each other. Plus we love any excuse for a party!
